On the 18th July 2008 The Club achieved the FA Charter Standard Club award, recieving club status for the next 3 years.

Bowburn Athletic FC's Junior Football Academy. 

The Club has been in talks with a local Northern League Team and have set up a Junior Football Academy. The Academy will be run and operated by the Highly Qualified Coaching Staff of Bowburn Athletic FC.

At the moment we have 2 teams in the Academy these are our U14's Boys Team and U18's Team.
